The camp is situated in front of the 500 meters long KEREWE right. MAROSI is reachable in a 15 minutes walk, or 5 minutes boat ride. About a dozen different breaks, equally rights and lefts, are reachable within 15 minutes boat ride. Further surf break exploration to TARIMBANG aka MILLER’S RIGHT, PERO left, WAINYAPU and other secrets, can be made by Speed Boat.
Waves in Sumba reach a good quality all year round, best time being March, April, May, June, September, October, November, December.
Surf in SUMBA is suitable for all levels, there are waves for beginners and expert surfers, but we are not a surf school. We can occasionnally provide initiations for beginners. Our surf guide will take you to the best break according to your skills. Sumbanese reefs provide mellow perfect points to heavy barrels.
